The company announced 4K streaming support for Mac and Windows in May and now 120fps gaming will also be widely available on Android. As per the report, Nvidia’s cloud gaming dream is gradually becoming a reality as 4K streaming no longer remains exclusive to Nvidia’s hardware. However, the highest-quality streaming options were previously limited by hardware. The service allows players to access the games across multiple platforms including - Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, select LG TVs and the Nvidia Shield TV set-top box. What is Nvidia GeForce Now GeForce Now is Nvidia’s cloud gaming service that allows users to play a selection of games purchased via Steam, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect / Uplay on Nvidia’s servers and stream them over the internet. Moreover, the 120fps support is also expected to make the games “look smoother and feels much more responsive” compared to the 60fps cap that was earlier a default setting for many devices, the report mentions. The report suggests that handsets with displays that support a minimum 120Hz refresh rate can enjoy Nvidia GeForce Now's 120fps gaming experience. According to a report by The Verge, Nvidia spokesperson Stephenie Ngo has confirmed that the support for 120fps game streaming will soon roll out for all Android phones that will fall into the company’s compatible range of higher than average screen refresh rates. Now, the company has confirmed that this feature will be rolled out for all compatible devices. Nvidia recently announced that GeForce Now will officially support 120fps gameplay on a selected few Android smartphones.
